REVIEW: Titans & Kings 'Set Fire to the Night'

Titans & Kings
Set Fire to the Night
(Single)

London's rock n' rollers Titans & Kings have released their fresh n' new single "Set Fire to the Night" today. I was one of the lucky people who had the opportunity to hear it before the official release date and let me tell you, it is good.

Let's jump right in -- the opening of the song is a perfect hook to grab the attention of the listener. The heavy riff fades in, joining with the intro, a short guitar solo -- an excellent combination. Reaching the verse, melody calms down and slowly builds up to the chorus. (Side fact: I really like the little melody part right before the first chorus)

The instrumental part before the insane guitar solo blends in nicely. Starting out slow with focus on drums, the melody then changes into full-sounding guitar parts, finally reaching the peak of the song. The guitar solo was done really good -- high notes, fast pace and a nice finish, that blends into the last part of the song.

I have to give props to the drum and bass lines on "Set Fire to the Night". I really enjoy the drum work on this track, along with how the bass accompanies and helps to keep the groove going.

The melody of the track is very catchy and the whole track itself is pace-changing, which keeps the interest in the song. It has a certain groove throughout, as well.

"Set Fire to the Night" is a real rock n' roll track. Job well done!

The single is out now on iTunes
